Context
During this period, contingency inevitably imposed its order and rhythm. My activities adapted to the circumstances and gradually the work, the paintings, the drawings, took a more intimate and introspective turn. Consequently, paintings of medium to large size, gave way to smaller formats and alternative supports to canvas and stretcher.
These were times of restrictions and pandemic. Altogether, during the most critical moments in Chile, we spent 7 months and 210 days, confined to our homes.
Unable to travel to my studio, I decided to transform the second bedroom of my house into an improvised workplace. Although somewhat crowded, I slowly adapted to the circumstances: a room of twelve square meters. So, in this way, writing and drawing on paper were added increasingly to my daily routines, experiences and records that would leave a wealth of material to work on in the future.
